10 Foods to control uric acid levels. Uric acid that occurs in the human body is the result of purine breakdown. Purines are also found in some foods that we eat. So, consume food should also be careful because it can cause increased uric acid levels.

Then, this high levels of uric acid become high in body when kidney does not dispose of uric acid optimally. Several factors that cause deposition of uric acid in the body are overweight, consume too much alcohol, consume purine rich foods, certain diuretics, and renal insufficiency.

When uric acid increases in the body then the body will usually experience pain such as uric acid disease and arthritis.

Among the foods to be controlled and a source of uric acid are protein-rich foods. So, one way for limiting purine in the body is to limit foods which is high in protein.

Here Foods to Control Uric Acid Levels

1. Apples or apple vinegar

Apples are contain the main substance that called malic acid. It helps lower uric acid to normal level. In addition to eating apples, you can use apple cider vinegar. Add 1-3 teaspoons of apple vinegar in eight ounces of warm water, then drink 2 to 3 times a day.

If you like to consume apples, then fresh apples also give effect to you.

2. Olive oil

Olive oil is another useful alternative to lower your uric acid. Olive oil contains anti-inflammatory, you can eat it by adding into vegetables, salads, or into pasta.

3. Beans

Nuts that contain little purines such as Brazil nuts, almonds, cashews, macadamia, and walnuts are some types of nuts that can lower levels of normal uric acid.

The bean contains a small amount of purine that is less than 40 mg. Do not consume ordinary peanuts because they contain almost 80mg of purine in a cup.

4. Lemon Juice

Furthermore, the food to control uric acid levels is lemon juice. Lemon contains citric acid which is useful to reduce uric acid in the body.

Add lemon juice in a glass of warm drinking water, drink once or twice a day.

5. Mineral water

Consuming a lot of water can dilute uric acid in the body and this will reduce the pain due to uric acid crystals that precipitate. Drink 10 glasses of water a day or more.

In addition, to help supply fluids in the body, eat foods such as water-rich fruits.

6. Baking soda

Based on research, baking soda including foods to control uric acid levels. Baking soda will maintain the alkaline conditions in the body so that it dissolves gout and eases the process of expenditure.

Note: Do not consume baking soda regularly because it gives other side effects on the body.

7. Cherries

Cherries are included in the list of foods to control gout. Chew the cherries or consume cherry extract to get a decrease in uric acid.

Bioflavonoids, proanthocyanidine and anthocyanins are important compounds found in cherries. They will prevent the crystallization of uric acid in each joint.

8. Low purine Vegetables

Some vegetables are known to contain a small amount of purine is broccoli, cucumber, tomatoes and others. Eating these vegetables will help cure your uric acid.

Next, you can also drink carrot juice mixed with cucumber juice. This will bring your uric acid levels to normal levels.

9. Vitamin C

Furthermore is vitamin C, this is a food that effectively lowers high uric acid levels. For people with high uric acid, please try to consume foods high in vitamin C every day.

Some food sources of vitamin C are kiwi, guava, tomato, orange, watermelon and others.

10. Consume chickpeas

Food high in folic acid is also good for lowering uric acid levels at all. Some foods that are the source of folate are pinto beans, beans, peas, etc.

Some of these folate sources are considered very good for lowering uric acid levels and bringing them to normal.
